ConFiction, more than most Worldcons, is likely to be remembered as one of the turning points in convention history. Not only is this the second World ever to be held in a country whose official language is something other than English, but it is also likely to be the first Worldcon ever to have a significant presence from Eastern Europe.

What else is there to say? A dream come true? Probably. When you read this book you are either at ConFiction, on your way back home with – hopefully – good memories.
ConFiction becomes a melting pot with fans from all over the world, busloads full from the former East Block. With over 3500 members it is the second worldcon on the continent and a huge success.
We organise a first small get to know each other convention and work convention in the Hague, preparing ourselves to work as the “shadow committee” in Boston at Noreascon 3.
